At approximately 11:05 PM, Gilbert Fire & Rescue and Gilbert Police responded to the area of Elliot Road and North Concord Street for reports of a residential structure fire.

According to the initial dispatch information, crews were advised of large flames and heavy smoke coming from the rear and roof area of the home, with one person reportedly still inside and attempting to evacuate.

Upon hearing the initial size-up, the Battalion Chief requested a Working Fire assignment, bringing additional resources to the scene.

When the Battalion Chief arrived, crews confirmed that everyone had made it safely outside and began an aggressive fire attack as additional engine companies arrived.

Ladder 251 also arrived and conducted roof operations, cutting into portions of the roof to assist firefighters with accessing and extinguishing the fire.

No injuries were reported at the scene, and there were no reported transports.

Preliminary information indicates the residence may be a total loss, although the full extent of the damage remains under investigation.
